WordPress is one of the most popular website platforms worldwide, powering millions of websites. Its flexibility and ease of use make it ideal for businesses, bloggers, and e-commerce stores. However, many website owners make common WordPress website mistakes that can affect performance, user experience, and search engine rankings. Recognizing these mistakes and knowing how to avoid them is essential for building a successful website.

One of the most frequent mistakes is neglecting website security. Many users rely on default settings and weak passwords, leaving their sites vulnerable to hacks and malware. To avoid this, install a reliable security plugin such as Wordfence Security or iThemes Security, use strong passwords, and enable two-factor authentication. Regular updates for WordPress core, themes, and plugins are also critical to prevent vulnerabilities.

Another common error is using too many plugins or poorly coded themes. While plugins add functionality, too many can slow down your website or cause compatibility issues. Choose high-quality, well-reviewed plugins and limit their use to essential features. Similarly, selecting a lightweight, optimized theme improves site speed and ensures a smoother user experience.

Ignoring SEO is another mistake that can limit your website’s visibility. Without proper on-page SEO, your site may struggle to rank in search engines. Use plugins like Yoast SEO or Rank Math to optimize your pages, create XML sitemaps, and improve content readability. Consistently updating content and using relevant keywords will help attract organic traffic.

Poor website design and navigation can frustrate visitors and increase bounce rates. Avoid cluttered layouts, unclear menus, and unresponsive designs. Focus on a clean, mobile-friendly interface, easy-to-navigate menus, and fast-loading pages.

Lastly, many WordPress website owners skip regular backups. Losing data due to crashes or hacking can be devastating. Use backup plugins like UpdraftPlus to schedule automated backups and store them in secure cloud locations.

In conclusion, avoiding common WordPress website mistakes requires proactive management, from security and SEO to plugin selection and design. By implementing these best practices, website owners can enhance user experience, improve search rankings, and maintain a reliable, high-performing website. Consistent attention and proper maintenance are key to long-term success.

The 3-day delivery window begins only after the Client has:
Completed the full onboarding form with all required information, or
Completed a Discovery Call where all needed details have been provided.
If the form or call is incomplete, missing content, or pending approvals, the delivery timeline will be adjusted accordingly.
Client delays, including slow responses or multiple rounds of feedback, may extend the timeline.
To maintain the 3-day delivery promise, the Client must provide all required content upfront. This includes, but is not limited to: brand guidelines, copy, images, and section-specific materials.

Turbo is not responsible for delays caused by missing, unapproved, or ambiguous content, including time spent sourcing content from external platforms for approval.
Client delays, including missing materials, unclear instructions, or slow responses, will automatically extend the delivery timeline.
4. Portfolio Authorization
